Alexandra Johnson is The Flying Physio, creator of the Movement Hacking Framework. She works in human performance, movement and function, looking at how beliefs and behaviour affect what happens in the body and what someone does because of it.

Her work starts with the questions most people miss. What has changed in the body, what is influencing it, and what has that person started believing because of it?

Alexandra knows this personally. She was born with Klippel-Trenaunay Syndrome, a rare congenital vascular condition affecting the blood vessels and growth of her left leg. Because the leg grew longer than the other, she had major surgery and metalwork put into it at 13. She was told she wouldn't run again, wouldn't walk normally and wouldn't have normal function in the leg.

For years she accepted that as the truth. Later, after the metalwork had been removed, there was nothing physically in her leg stopping it from moving better. But the belief she had carried since 13 was still influencing what she did. That is where the Movement Hacking Framework came from.

Alexandra went on to complete the Marathon des Sables, become an elite triathlete and race at two Ironman 70.3 World Championships. She has worked over 18 years as a physiotherapist and owns PhysioFit Pilates and Physio Studio in West Sussex. She is a helicopter pilot in training, and has spoken at Orbit Wellbeing Festival and SleapKosh 2026.

The Flying Physio reflects her belief that movement is freedom. Freedom gives you options and choices. At Ideas Fest, she brings the physical side to Your Nervous System Is Your Boardroom, looking at what changes in the body when pressure is on and how that affects the way someone leads and decides
