Dr. Blessing Allen-Adebayo is Co-Founder, Chief Science Officer of Algaenic, a UK climate-tech company building AI-enabled autonomous systems for the early detection and low-energy removal of harmful algal blooms, transforming a costly environmental hazard into feedstock for sustainable fuels and other products critical to the net-zero transition. An environmental microbiologist with a PhD in bioremediation, Blessing leads Algaenic’s biomass valorisation strategy. Backed by Carbon13 and Innovate UK, she is a 2026 Innovate UK Women in Innovation Award winner and brings over a decade of experience in climate resilience and market systems. Her thesis is simple: What if the things we need to remove from our environment could become the resources we need for net zero?
