Caroline Clark has lived in a place that freaks people out when they hear about it. As an analogue astronaut at LunAres Research Station, she spent time in a simulated lunar habitat: completely isolated and sealed off from the world, with no windows and no contact with the outside. What she discovered there changed how she thinks about working under pressure and overwhelm, and why the answer might lie in our environment, not just in our heads.

That experience sits at the heart of how she works now. Caroline is the founder of Expansum and the creator of Belief OS®, a framework for understanding how beliefs govern performance across individuals, organisations, and even society. Once a senior leader in tech, she's now retraining as an organisational psychologist specialising in extreme environments. She coaches leaders working at the edge in tech, space and science, who are stuck, overstretched, or doubting themselves.

Her published research on imposter feelings and the performance impact of feedback, combined with her own experience of leading teams through uncertainty, means she starts where most approaches stop: at the beliefs underneath the behaviour.

Caroline recently opened TEDxWolverhampton, making the case that women should be the first people to walk on Mars, and challenging our beliefs about who we see as leaders and explorers. She is a regular speaker at corporate leadership and industry events, and mentors founders on the UK Space Agency's startup accelerator programme. Her first book, Beliefocracy: How Our Beliefs Govern Us, is due early 2027.
