Chantal Kerr-Sheppard
Event Cycle
An unshakable optimist with a pragmatic approach, Chantal believes in leaving the world in a better place than she found it. She spent 15 years delivering large-scale global events as an Event Director, and has been volunteering since she was 18. Event Cycle, which she co-founded, brings the two halves of her life together: the events industry and the communities around it. Event Cycle helps event, film and TV teams turn leftover project materials into social impact, repurposed and redistributed to charities, community groups and schools rather than sent to the skip.
Under her leadership, Event Cycle served as Asset Dissolution Partner to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, placing donations before the Games even began, with 86% staying in the West Midlands. The team has also supported COP26, Netflix productions and major brand activations. Five years in, the company has created over £3.2 million of social value for more than 1,100 charitable organisations.
Chantal also builds partnerships with social enterprises that work with reclaimed materials and create employment for people facing barriers to work. These are designed into event planning from the start, so that social purpose is part of the brief, not an afterthought.
