Hard as Nails

Daniele Fiandaca is the co-founder of Hard as Nails, an initiative encouraging men to paint their nails to spark conversations about healthy masculinity, harmful stereotypes and men's mental health.

What began as a simple act of painting nails has grown into a movement built on a bold belief:

The conversations capable of changing us are often the ones we're most afraid to have.

Through Hard as Nails, hundreds of men have stepped outside restrictive gender norms, building confidence, forming deeper connections and starting conversations with friends, colleagues, partners and complete strangers that might never otherwise have happened.

Daniele believes that real change rarely comes from telling people what to think. It comes from creating the conditions for curiosity, empathy and honest conversation. The conversations that challenge assumptions, deepen understanding and ultimately change how we see ourselves and each other.

Alongside Hard as Nails, Daniele is the founder of Token Man Consulting, where for more than a decade he has helped organisations build more human workplaces through leadership coaching, keynote speaking and Brave Spaces. His work focuses on helping people navigate the conversations at the heart of stronger relationships, healthier teams and more inclusive cultures.

He is a White Ribbon Ambassador, a Hassl Ambassador and is recognised as one of the UK's leading voices on engaging men in inclusion.

Whether he's speaking on stage, coaching senior leaders or painting a stranger's hands at a football tournament, Daniele is driven by one question:
