Dr Asad Raffi

Asad is a consultant psychiatrist with specialist expertise in neurodevelopmental conditions, and the founder of Sanctum Healthcare, a CQC-registered assessment and treatment service for ADHD, autism and combined presentations across the lifespan, based in Greater Manchester with a London clinic in development.

He founded Sanctum to close a gap he kept meeting in neurodevelopmental care: services built around producing a diagnostic label, with comparatively little attention to what happens to the person afterwards. Sanctum's answer is the Brain Health lens: a diagnosis as the beginning of the work, not its conclusion, asking what is amplifying difficulty, what is being demanded, and what support is actually in place. That framework runs underneath COMPASS.

He publishes and presents internationally, with peer-reviewed research and invited conference presentations. Alongside clinical practice he develops assessment and monitoring frameworks, clinician training and educational material, aimed at making good neurodevelopmental practice reproducible rather than dependent on the individual clinician in the room.

He also works with elite sport, where ADHD and related presentations are common, frequently missed, and badly served by services built around the assumption of a failing life. That work sits behind a conviction running through COMPASS: a neurodevelopmental profile is not a deficit account of a person. Asad has ADHD and is raising a child with ADHD himself.
