Effie Kanyua is a multi-award-winning communications leader and Founder of We Are Warriors PR and ethical AI platform LILA Assistant which is designed to help Founders, SMEs and those who work within the creative industries. A former Director of PR & Communications at Hearst UK (ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Women's Health) and Communications Director at Bauer Media (Grazia, Empire, Absolute Radio, KISS, Magic). She began her career as a BBC journalist and has worked with leading global brands across technology, media, beauty, luxury, FMCG and healthcare including Microsoft, P&G, Hilton Hotels, GSK, Johnson & Johnson and Diageo.

Effie won Campaign’s Inspiring Women Award 2025 and has been recognised by PRovoke Media’s Innovator 25 EMEA, Women in PR’s 40 Over 40 and PRWeek’s 25 Most Influential Black PR Professionals. Featured as an expert in Forbes and The Times, she advises brands on AI visibility, reputation and communications and sits on the Advisory Board of Global Women in PR. She also chairs the G100 Media, Arts & Communications UK Wing a Global Women's Think Tank with 100 wings in 100 countries working towards gender equality.
