Ella McCrystal
Ella McCrystal is a Clinical Psychotherapist, trauma specialist, and multidisciplinary clinic director specialising in trauma, nervous system dysregulation, and subconscious reprogramming.
She is the creator of The Neurolectrics Method™, an integrative therapeutic framework that combines neuroscience, somatic therapy, psychoanalytic principles, subconscious reconditioning, and quantum-informed concepts to help individuals heal trauma stored within the brain-body system.
For more than two decades, Ella has worked extensively with individuals across a wide spectrum of human experience, from survivors of complex trauma to high-performing professionals in business, elite sport, entertainment, and the arts. Her work focuses on helping people understand and release deeply embedded survival responses that traditional cognitive approaches alone often fail to reach.
Alongside her clinical practice, Ella is an author, educator, podcast host, and speaker. She has delivered a TEDx talk focused on transformation and the human nervous system, and is known for translating complex psychological and neurological concepts into emotionally accessible, practical frameworks that empower individuals to rebuild internal safety, emotional regulation, identity, and self-worth.
Beyond her professional qualifications, Ella's work is rooted in lived experience. She is a survivor of prolonged intrafamilial childhood sexual and physical abuse perpetrated by her father.
These experiences led to profound emotional fragmentation as she navigated the long-term neurological and somatic consequences of trauma without therapeutic support or understanding.
Her personal journey ultimately became the foundation of her professional mission. Determined to become the person she once needed herself, Ella entered the field of psychotherapy with a deep commitment to understanding how trauma reshapes the mind, body, identity, and nervous system.
Over time, she recognised that many conventional therapeutic approaches centred heavily on cognition and insight while often overlooking the physiological and subconscious imprinting of trauma.
This understanding became the catalyst for developing The Neurolectrics Method™, a holistic and integrative approach designed to work directly with the body, subconscious mind, emotional memory systems, and nervous system conditioning.
