It Takes Two

Emma King is the co-founder of It Takes Two, a business coach and entrepreneur who has been building businesses since the age of 25.

A natural visionary, Emma spent years generating ideas and growing ventures before recognising that sustainable success needed a strong operational counterpart. That shift came when Julie Phillips became her COO, helping Emma move away from micromanagement, build greater accountability across the team and create a business that could run without her constant involvement.

After navigating the impact of the pandemic on the events industry, Emma went on to become a non-executive director, business coach and Expert in Residence for a global coaching company.

In 2021, she stepped away from the day-to-day running of her business and relocated to Fuerteventura, where she now works on the business for just four hours a week.

Today, Emma helps other founders create businesses that give them greater freedom, whether that means scaling revenue, reclaiming their time or building a life beyond the day-to-day demands of the business.
