Henry Fraser

Henry Fraser is an artist, author and speaker whose life changed in 2009 when a diving accident left him paralysed from the shoulders down.

Following months of surgery, intensive care and rehabilitation, Henry began rebuilding his life around a new set of circumstances. In 2015, while temporarily confined to bed, he taught himself to draw using a stylus held in his mouth. He later progressed to pencils and paint, rediscovering a love of art he had first enjoyed as a child.

Henry’s work explores resilience, adaptation and the unexpected opportunities that can emerge from adversity. His story is a powerful reminder that a single moment can change everything, while creativity and purpose can still be found in the life that follows.

Through his art and speaking, Henry shares an honest perspective on challenge, acceptance and possibility, shaped by his belief that adversity has given him a gift.
