Jeni Miles is a behavioural scientist and business advisor who has uncovered something most entrepreneurs won't say out loud: the growth-at-all-costs playbook is harming both people and the planet.
Her research reveals that 86% of UK business managers believe companies should focus on meeting human needs over financial growth as the end goal. Yet only half assume their peers feel the same way.
That invisible consensus is keeping founders and business leaders trapped and unaware alternative approaches exist.
Previously, Jeni spent over a decade at Google Play consulting on product strategy and business consulting for some of the world's biggest consumer tech platforms. Becoming a mum brought the ecological crisis into sharp focus, so she left to ask harder questions. Today she is a research collaborator with the LSE Post-Growth Transformation Lab, an advisor to Boost Capital Partners, and a mentor to professionals via Work on Climate, and Startups with Google's Sustainable Development program.
She also hosts the Moral Footprint podcast and is writing a book of the same name, exploring how we can align our professional ambitions with planetary and ethical boundaries, without sacrificing impact.
