Jill Scott

Jill Scott MBE is a celebrated former professional footballer, renowned for her commanding midfield presence and significant contributions to the women's game. Born in Sunderland, she began her football journey with Sunderland Women before joining Everton in 2006, where she won the FA Women's Premier League Cup and FA Women's Cup.

In 2013, Jill signed for Manchester City and became one of the most influential players of her generation, helping the club win the Women's Super League title, three FA Cups and four League Cups. She also enjoyed loan spells with Everton and Aston Villa before retiring from professional football in 2022.

On the international stage, Jill earned 161 caps for England, making her the Lionesses' second most-capped player. She represented her country at ten major tournaments and was a key member of the England squad that won UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on home soil. Jill also represented Team GB at both the London 2012 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Since retiring, Jill has successfully transitioned into broadcasting and entertainment. She was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2022 and is a regular panellist on The Overlap's Stick to Football alongside Gary Neville, Roy Keane, Jamie Carragher, and Ian Wright. She also serves as Blue Team Captain on Sky's A League of Their Own and co-hosts the Long Story Short podcast with former England teammate Karen Carney.

Alongside her media work, Jill is a motivational speaker, covering topics including leadership, teamwork, resilience, overcoming setbacks and navigating career transitions. She also co-owns Boxx2Boxx Coffee in Manchester with her fiancée Shelly, where she can often be found enjoying a flat white on her days off, and she has been a Starling Bank ambassador since 2021.

In recognition of her outstanding contribution to football, Jill was awarded an MBE for services to the sport. Her legacy as one of England's most respected footballers, combined with her successful career beyond the pitch, continues to inspire audiences across sport, business and entertainment.
