In 2011, Karim Fawaz's uncle filmed him scoring a goal at a youth match and put it on YouTube. That clip is why he founded PLAYBACK, the operating system for sports, built so that every player is seen, celebrated and remembered, not only the 1% who can afford to be. PLAYBACK deploys professional cameras, GPS and AI analysis into grassroots clubs at a fraction of their usual cost, and now powers more than 75,000 young players across 25+ clubs and federations in 14 countries. Its recognition includes Global StartUp of the Year at the 2025, London Rising Star 2026, SPORT[GEN] Summit "the draft" 2026 winner, and selection as one of five companies worldwide for the Olympic Capital Sport Innovation Challenge.
