Kate Marston
Mast People Support
Kate Marston is the founder of Mast People Support and one of the UK’s leading workplace investigations specialists, helping founders and fast growing organisations navigate the difficult conversations that come with building teams, scaling culture and handling the inevitable bumps along the way. She now works internationally, supporting organisations with investigations, training and advisory work. Her work earned her the 2025 HRi Inspirational Indie award, a peer-nominated accolade.
Her career famously spans “handguns to handbags”: Kate served as a Detective Sergeant with the Metropolitan Police before moving into the corporate world to lead Investigations at Burberry. CIPD qualified, she saw early on that founder led organisations were managing complex people issues without the tools or frameworks to do it well, and built Mast People Support to change that. A co founder and investor, Kate now runs the business with her husband, balancing entrepreneurship with raising their two mini Masts, including one who remains passionately committed to not sleeping.
