Sam spent the first decade of her career as a management consultant to financial services firms, specialising in risk-based capital and risk governance advice, before moving into portfolio NED roles and Angel investing in 2009. As a founding Investor Director of edtech company Scholarpack, she provided strategic advice and hands-on support on its journey from pre-product to successful exit via trade sale. Sam served as a NED and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee at The Key Support Services 2018-2025 (10x organic and M&A driven growth during that period driving exit via a private equity sale). Having sat on numerous start up and SME Boards over the past ten years, Sam is currently Chair at Sherloc, connecting her directly to this session's sponsor, NED at WatchMyCompetitor and sits on the Investment Committee of homeless charity Emmaus. She also acts as an advisor to several companies including Peachie, Rubitek and The Matcha Yaad.
