ln 2015, I founded an independent, chartered financial planning practice that helps smart people avoid doing dumb things with their money! It was a JV initially with an accountancy firm and I then (amicably) bought out the accountancy partners with help from three long-standing clients.

In November, another independent firm in the corporate finance space bought out 'The Three Wise Men', so we now we have a proper strategic partner with a significant minority stake. I'm still very much involved as Executive Chairman, but the firm is run by our excellent MD, who joined us from Schroders Cazenove summer 2025.

11yrs in, the firm is £3M ARR and is growing at 30% p.a. based almost entirely on referrals, We specialise in advising financially successful professionals and business owners; starting with what's important to them (strangely, not the norm in the finance industry) and helping them align their plan and their capital with their values.
