Spencer Matthews

Spencer Matthews is an endurance athlete, health advocate, founder, and entrepreneur.

He holds three Guinness World Record titles, most recently, setting the World Record for fastest completion of Ironman-distance triathlon on all seven continents (21 days, 9 hours and 18 minutes) and the fastest Ironman distance triathlon in Antarctica (28 hours, 51 minutes and 11 seconds). He also holds the Guinness World Record title for completing 30 marathons in 30 days on sand in 2024. He has completed the Jungle Ultra and Marathon des Sables, two of the most challenging ultramarathon endurance races in the world.

Motivated by the idea of inspiring people to push themselves further, Spencer hosts the UNTAPPED podcast where he sits down with guests from all walks of life to understand how they have overcome personal challenges and found their untapped potential.

An active philanthropist, Spencer has fundraised for a variety of charities through his endurance challenges, including Global’s Make Some Noise. His latest challenge, PROJECT SE7EN, raised hundreds of thousands of pounds in funds for male suicide prevention charity James’ Place. Spencer is also director of The Michael Matthews Foundation, which educates thousands of disadvantaged children in Africa in memory of his late brother.

Driven by his personal relationship with alcohol, Spencer founded CleanCo in 2019, which has become an award-winning non-alcoholic spirit brand, sold globally.
