Tom O'Brien is the Co-Founder and Corporate Finance Director of Cadre Advisory, a modern accountancy practice built to be a proactive extension of a client's team. Trained in national practice, Tom moved into industry working on transactions in-house, before returning to practice to specialise as a Corporate Finance advisor.

Having sat on both sides of the table, Tom saw first-hand how the profession was shifting towards genuine advice, not just compliance. That's why he founded Cadre in 2019, combining modern technology with clear and actionable accounting advice so business owners always know exactly where they stand.

Since then, he's helped grow the firm to a team of 13, leading its Commercial and Corporate Finance arm whilst acting as an outsourced Finance Director for ambitious, scaling businesses. Some proud moments for Tom include heading up 8 acquisitions for HLN over a five-year growth period and rolling out a fitness brand to 30 sites.
