Getting Here
You're closer than you think.People travel to Ideas Fest from all parts of the UK and across Europe. This year we have even got attendees joining us from America. Whether you are coming from London, the Midlands or further afield, getting here is straightforward – and if you are staying onsite, you only have to do it once.
By Train – From London in Around 33 Minutes
Tring is well connected to London Euston with direct services running frequently throughout the day. The fastest trains take around 33 minutes. Berkhamsted station is also nearby on the same line and equally convenient.
On Wednesday and Thursday there will be three double decker buses leaving from Tring Train Station at 8.30am. The buses leave when full and return to Tring Train Station for a second pick up approximately half an hour later. The double deckers run until 10.30am. After that there is a smaller shuttle service which can be used on a first come first served basis. There is no need to book any of it.
If you are short on time, a taxi from Tring Train Station takes around 8 minutes and costs approximately £10 to £15. There is also a taxi rank at the station. The buses can involve a wait, so booking a taxi in advance is worth it at peak arrival times on the morning of Wednesday 9th September.
Tip
Book your train tickets in advance for the best fares. Off-peak tickets are significantly cheaper and September midweek travel is rarely busy.
