How To Be A Good Boss: In conversation with Admiral founder Henry Engelhardt
With Henry Engelhardt and Dylan Jones-Evans.
About this talk
Henry Engelhardt built Admiral from a team of five into Wales' only FTSE 100 company.
Along the way it became one of the best places to work in Britain, landing on the Sunday Times Best Companies list every single year it's been running.
His philosophy is almost annoyingly simple. If people like what they do, they'll do it better. He ran Admiral on an upside-down pyramid, with the leaders at the bottom and the customer at the top, and he personally met every new starter, handing each one a jigsaw piece to show they were part of something.
He's just written the book on it, literally. It's called Be A Better Boss.
In this session he'll share what actually makes a great leader, why a happy culture is a business decision rather than a soft one, and the management red lines he'd never cross.
If you manage even one person, this is the one to catch.
